Make a Joyful Noise …
“notes” by Ben Johnston, Worship Leader
Music Reviews …
GROWING; REFINING; LEARNING TO BE SUBMISSIVE.
These are the words that describe the worship team's past few months. We are being united, we are growing together, being refined together and learning to submit to one another as a group.
One song that has sort of led and defined us in learning these things is the song "Transcendent." We are living this definition in transcending to become worshipers and sons and daughters of God. We are going beyond our ordinary limits and learning that we can no longer settle for plain worship, plain Christianity, plain life.
Things have happened in our group which we have applied as we welcome these "Transcendent" moments. Our lead singer, Kathryn, was anointed with a spirit of worship during one of our practices.
Big John, another one of our lead singers, has also been leading some songs, especially "Transcendent," and is sort of an example of our change, as he has come back to the church, and back to worship, transcending in rejuvenation and transcending in his spiritual being.
How about you? Are these the kinds of things you might think about welcoming yourself?
"Transcendent in glory, He's written the story with me in mind. He's planned my conception and then my redemption that I would find, that it was His passion that I should be fashioned to know His love. And oh, to know His love.”
Words from Roger Thrower Song "Transcedant"
